It’s been a few days since my last post, and it’s mostly a scheduling gaffe on my part. For whatever reason I tend to leave days at the end of the month open, perhaps to give me a bit of a breather.
But I figured I would take this as an opportunity to inform those who return to this blog frequently on what I will be attempting to do this summer with the site.
I’m going to attempt to dive into some subjects and cover them thoroughly. I plan on taking a more in-depth look at the food and beverage industry in Grand Rapids, from farms to table and the brewing process of beer. The Grand Rapids Public School system will also be on the forefront of the project, more at the end of the school year and toward the end of the summer when it’ll will start back up.
A few friends of the photographer variety will be helping me add some flare to the site. I hope to add pictures to most posts as well as photo essays and a feature called, “How well do you know your city?”
I’ll continue to strive to generate a new interview or conversation every day, but these are just ways to do that. I’ll also continue to reach for top movers and shakers in Grand Rapids, but to go to the ground level and reach more ordinary folk.
And I’ll include an almost daily post of the interesting reads of the day, that I read and find fascinating or well-written. And hopefully, as the summer moves on, I’ll start to post more about the book project with TJ Duckett that should release in late October.
